Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G Review: Still the Best Smartphone Under ৳21,000 in BD?

Finding a feature-packed smartphone under BDT 20,000 to 21,000 in Bangladesh can be challenging. With dozens of models competing for your attention, local phone shop vendors often push devices with high megapixels or extra RAM while hiding critical drawbacks like dim LCD displays, laggy processors, or poor software support.

In this in-depth review, we analyze the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G. We tested its 120Hz AMOLED display under direct sunlight, ran popular games like PUBG and Free Fire, tested its 108MP camera with LMC 8.4 GCam configs, and broke down current official vs. unofficial prices in Bangladesh.

    • 120Hz AMOLED Panel: Colors are vivid with deep blacks, making it ideal for watching YouTube videos and streaming movies.

    • Outdoor Visibility: With up to 1800 nits peak brightness, you won’t have to squint while checking messages or navigating Google Maps under direct sunlight in Dhaka.

      3. Camera Performance & GCam Capability

Stock camera software on budget phones often struggles with skin tones and dynamic range. Here is how the Redmi Note 13 holds up:

      📸 Stock Camera (108MP)

In broad daylight, the 108MP primary sensor produces detailed photos with rich colors. The 8MP ultrawide camera is handy for landscape shots, though night shots with the stock camera app can show noise.

      📸 LMC 8.4 GCam Boost

When paired with the LMC 8.4 GCam Mod and custom XML config files, the camera quality transforms significantly:

      • Portrait Shots: Sharp edge detection with natural iPhone-style background blur (bokeh).

      • Night Mode: Noise is reduced, and shadow details are boosted automatically.

(Check out our dedicated Camera Mods section on MIUI BD to download the optimal LMC 8.4 APK and XML config file for Snapdragon 685).

        4. Performance & Gaming Test

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 (6nm) chipset, daily multitasking—switching between Facebook, Messenger, Chrome, and Telegram—feels smooth without stutter.

🎮 Gaming FPS & Heating Breakdown

        • Free Fire: Runs smoothly at 60 FPS on High graphics settings.

        • PUBG Mobile: Plays comfortably on Smooth + Ultra (40 FPS) settings.

        • Thermal Management: During a 45-minute continuous gaming session at room temperature, the phone gets slightly warm around the camera module but does not hit severe thermal throttling.

          5. Battery Life & Charging Speed

The 5000mAh battery easily lasts a full day of heavy use (social media browsing, camera usage, and continuous Wi-Fi/4G data).

Using the included 33W fast charger, the phone goes from 0% to 50% in roughly 30 minutes, and takes about 70–75 minutes for a full 100% charge.

          6. Official vs. Unofficial Price in Bangladesh

          Variant
Official Price (BD)
Unofficial Market Price (Approx.)

          6GB RAM + 128GB ROM
৳20,999
৳18,500 – ৳19,000

          8GB RAM + 256GB ROM
৳22,999
৳20,500 – ৳21,000

⚠️ Buying Advice: If official brand warranty, BTRC registration safety, and hassle-free service center support matter to you, spend the extra money on the Official variant. If you are on a strict budget and buying from a trusted shop with replacement warranty, the unofficial route saves you BDT 1,500 to 2,000.

💡 The Verdict: Should You Buy It?

          ✅ Pros:

          • Stunning 120Hz AMOLED display with thin bezels

          • Great 108MP main camera (especially when using LMC 8.4 GCam)

          • Reliable all-day 5000mAh battery with 33W charging

          • In-display fingerprint reader and sleek design

            ❌ Cons:

            • Mono speaker setup could be louder

            • Snapdragon 685 processor is fine for casual gaming, but not designed for heavy 60 FPS PUBG graphics

Final Rating: 8.5 / 10 for value under BDT 21,000
