The dust has settled on the launch event, and everyone is asking: Is the new Redmi Note 14 Pro+ worth the upgrade in Bangladesh? On paper, the specs look like flagship killers, but how does it feel in the hand, and does the HyperOS experience live up to the hype?
The MIUI BD team got exclusive early access to the device. Here is our detailed hands-on first impression, camera test, and performance breakdown of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.

Design & Display: Flagship Feel, Mid-Range Price
The first thing you notice about the Note 14 Pro+ is that it has ditched the boxy, utilitarian feel of its predecessors.
- Curved Edges: The device features a 3D curved AMOLED display that flows into slim metal rails, making it incredibly comfortable to hold. It feels much more premium than its price tag suggests.
- Screen Quality: The panel itself is stunning. We measured peak brightness exceeding 2,500 nits, which is essential for visibility under the harsh Dhaka sun. The 120Hz refresh rate makes navigation buttery smooth.
- Durability: Xiaomi claims improved drop resistance with their new “Gorilla Glass Armor” equivalent, though we didn’t test that explicitly during this short hands-on.
Performance & HyperOS: The MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra
Under the hood lies the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
- Synthetic Benchmarks: In our quick Antutu v10 run, the device scored approximately 710,000 points, placing it firmly in the upper mid-range tier.
- Gaming Test (PUBG Mobile / Call of Duty): We played two matches of PUBG Mobile at Smooth Graphics and Extreme Frame Rate. The Note 14 Pro+ held a near-constant 60 FPS with only minor thermal throttling towards the end of the second match. The vapor chamber cooling seems effective.
- HyperOS: The device ships with HyperOS based on Android 14. It feels faster and more fluid than the older MIUI 14. Background app management is aggressive but ensures the UI remains snappy.

Camera System: New 50MP Sensor
The camera hump is significant, housing a new 50MP Light Hunter 800 main sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
- Daylight Shots: Images captured in good lighting are sharp, dynamic, and retain Xiaomi’s signature slightly boosted color profile, which looks great on social media.
- Low Light: The larger sensor size helps significantly in low light. Night Mode activates quickly and effectively reduces noise without crushing shadow details. The dedicated 8MP Ultrawide is adequate but noticeably softer than the main shooter.
Battery & Charging
Powering the device is a substantial 5,500mAh battery, a welcome upgrade over the 5,000mAh standard.
- Endurance: While we haven’t done a full drain test yet, the combination of the efficient Dimensity 7300 and the larger cell suggests easy 1.5 to 2 days of moderate usage.
- Charging Speed: The included 90W HyperCharge brick fills the massive battery from 0% to 100% in roughly 41 minutes.
🏁 Initial Verdict: Our Recommendation
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is shaping up to be a formidable competitor in the Bangladeshi ৳30,000–৳40,000 price segment. It combines a premium curved design with flagship-grade battery capacity and solid mid-range gaming performance.
If you value camera performance and battery life over raw gaming power, this device is likely the best all-rounder option coming this season.
- Pros: Curved premium design, excellent bright display, 90W fast charging, reliable main camera.
- Cons: Ultrawide camera is average, significant camera bump makes it wobble on flat surfaces.
