Electronic health records systems are the foundation of healthcare information technology and crucial to the day-to-day operations of hospitals, health systems and physician group practices.

But they are far from static technologies. With EHRs, CIOs and other health IT leaders at provider organizations cannot just set it and forget it. These critical information systems must be maintained and optimized over time.

Peyman Zand is chief strategy officer at consulting firm CereCore and a former provider CIO. He has tremendous experience working with EHRs from the provider and consultant perspectives. He is the guest on this week’s podcast, where he will offer a deep dive into maintain and optimizing EHRs.
